Surgeries – Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery
|
“Beauty is only skin deep” is a term we often hear
and one that is meant to make us feel better about
the fact that we may be slightly flawed in some
way. These words written in 1613 by Thomas
Overbury managed to get him imprisoned and
then eventually poisoned so maybe these words
of wisdom weren’t so wise after all. Almost 400
years after these words were penned, women now
have more choices about how to look after their
skin and we can improve on what nature has given
us by lending it a helping hand.
In winter we have a habit of layering clothes onto
our bodies to keep warm and forget the beauty
rituals we may have perfected the summer before.
But hiding away our bodies is not a reason to
return to bad habits and it does not allow our skin
to breathe naturally. Our skin needs constant care
all year round and this includes continuing with the
water intake into our bodies as well as the
exfoliating and moisturising of the skin itself.
Exfoliate your body at least twice a week as this
well help the moisturiser penetrate the top layers
of dead skin. Regardless of your skin type, it is
important to moisturise the whole body after
showering as this will prevent unnecessary
dryness associated with the winter months. Don’t
forget the hands and feet as well as elbows and
knees as they are especially in need of care and
attention during winter. Using a moisturiser several
times a day for your hands will help keep them soft
and smooth and by scrubbing your feet to remove
dry skin followed by a moisturiser will help ensure
your feet are not ignored.
Using a facial mask and scrub on a regular basis
as well as a quality moisturiser will make sure the
moisture remains locked in your skin and you look
healthy all year round. Don’t forget to use a
sunscreen in winter as the winter sun can often be
as damaging to the skin as the summer sun and
avoidance of the sun over a long term period will
help stop ageing of the skin prematurely. And for
the lips – a quality lip balm will stop your lips from
becoming wind chapped and dry and keep them
soft and kissable.
In winter we also tend to stay indoors hovering
over the heater or the fire. Make sure you find
time to exercise even if it is just a swift walk around
the block to improve circulation. And lastly the old
adage – you are what you eat still holds true even
when the weather is unbearable outside. We have
a tendency to eat comfort food in winter and tell
ourselves we are bound to put on a few kgs over
the winter months and will lose them in summer.
Save yourself the hard work – eat well all year
round and your skin will most certainly show the
benefits.
By maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a beauty
regime you will find that the benefits will most
definitely spill over into your personal life. It will
help boost your self esteem and attitude and you
will definitely be able to disprove the theory by
Thomas Overbury that ultimately lend to his
untimely death.

Now days everyone likes to seem beautiful.
Looking healthy young and beautiful is the most
important thing in day to day life. You may be
upset that you are having some problems in your
physical structure or you are fat or your nose
shape is not too good. For that purpose
cosmetic and plastic surgery is now available
which helps us to remove any physical disorders.
Cosmetic and plastic surgery really help you to
improve your lifestyle.
Cosmetic surgery is used to redefine your looks.
If you do not like a facial or body feature that you
have, you may use cosmetic surgery to change
that specific area. It is also useful in reducing
lines or wrinkles on your face.
Plastic surgery mainly focuses on reconstruction.
If you have a birth defect, injury, disease that
has caused a change in your features, plastic
surgery is a very useful treatment on these
problems.
Cosmetic or plastic surgery is performed by a
doctor who has undergone specialized training in
either plastic or cosmetic surgery. While
choosing a doctor always makes sure that they
have been certified by either the American Board
of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) or the American Board
of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS).
Cosmetic surgery is categorized into two types –
one that add something to the body and another
that take something away. Many people are
unhappy with their body size and shape of parts
of their bodies, so they would like to either
reduce or increase the size of body.
Some of the most popular types of cosmetic
surgery, however, involve adding volume to
areas of the body. One of these is seen in
collagen injections, which plump up the lips. But,
the biggest of the addition surgeries is breast
augmentation. With this surgery, implants
(usually made of saline) are inserted into a
woman's breasts in order to enlarge her cup size.
Most Popular Plastic Surgery Procedures are as
follows:
Rhinoplasty - The medical term given to plastic
surgery to redesign your nose.
Breast Augmentation - A surgical technique to
increase the size and shape of a woman's breast.
Liposuction - An efficient technique of changing
the body's shape and size.
Facelift - Takes care of these problems by
tightening and firming the facial skin as well as
the neck muscles in one step.
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) - It's a surgical
technique where the surgeon sheds out the extra
fat, muscle, skin from either or both the upper
and the lower eye lid to redesign the shape the
eye.
Don’t think in negative way; always be positive
that cosmetic or plastic surgery would really help
you.

I believe that every single woman is beautiful,
and I’m not referring to inner beauty. The reason
why so many women see themselves as ugly and
inadequate, is because society has come up with
ridiculous definitions of beauty that only a small
percentage of women are able to attain; and
most of those only after the ever so popular
“complete makeovers”. We have been led to
believe that nature cheated us, and so we spend
hundreds of dollars adding this and removing
that because deep inside we really want to be
gorgeous. Sisters, acceptance is the key.
Making peace with what you do have and
forgetting about what you don’t have, is the first
step towards developing a healthy self concept.
Remember this simple rule: always look your
best no matter where you’re going, because
when a woman looks good on the outside it
makes her feel good on the inside.
Dress for the occasion. Looking your best
doesn’t mean that you need to be overdressed.
There is a time and a place for every outfit.
Learn to figure it out.
Know your size. Wearing clothing that is too
big or too tight is hardly ever a good idea. Don’t
be afraid to try on the garments you’re
purchasing because in the end it can save you a
lot of time and money. Ill-fitting attire gives the
impression that you are careless.
Make it match. Although fashion these days
allows the combination of different colors and
fabric, you still need to make sure that what you’
re wearing actually goes well together. While you’
re at it, choose colors that complement your
lovely complexion and bring out your beautiful
eyes, versus tones that make you fade into the
background. If you’re unsure about which colors
are right for you, stand in front of a mirror with
natural light and hold different shades up to your
face. You’ll realize that some of them make you
look radiant, while others harden your facial
features.
Choose your design. Not everything that is
fashionable is appropriate for every figure. Pick
outfits that are comfortable and at the same time
enhance your silhouette.
Be aware of your age. Contrary to popular
belief, dressing like a teenager when you’re in
your thirties does not make you look younger.
Dressing according to your age will make you
more attractive if you pay attention to details like
color, fabric, and style.
Pay attention to the inside. It doesn’t matter
how stunning you might look, if you carry around
the extra baggage of unforgiveness, resentment,
envy, prejudice, and hatred, they will show up in
your interactions with others. Be sure to spend
some time every day in quiet reflection on how to
become a better woman and how you can
empower other women to do the same.

Sugar Scrubbing is a gentle way to exfoliate the
skin just about anywhere on your body. A basic
sugar scrub includes of course sugar and some
sort of liquid and lotion or moisturizer. For a very
simple sugar scrub mix some sugar with enough
of your favorite body lotion to form a paste that’s
easy to rub into you skin.
But why would you want to use a sugar scrub in
the first place? Sugar scrubbing is a great way to
exfoliate your skin. Exfoliating removes dead skin
particles, as well as any oil and residue. This will
soften your skin and preparing it for anything
else to follow such as a moisturizer. A sugar
scrub stimulates the lymph system, which is
responsible for eliminating toxins out of the body.
The gentle massage of rubbing a sugar scrub
into your skin also improves the circulation of the
blood right under you skin, giving you that
healthy glow.
Start your sugar scrubbing treatment by cleaning
your skin with a gentle soap or other cleanser
and warm water. Then grab a handful of the
sugar scrub and massage it into your skin in
circular motion. The grainy sugar will gently
exfoliate your skin. Rinse the sugar off with
plenty of cool water and use some more
cleanser to get any sugary residue off your skin.
Gently pat your skin dry with a soft, clean towel
and follow with your favorite moisturizer. You
should use a sugar scrub to exfoliate once or
twice a week as needed to maintain that soft skin
and healthy glow.
Are you ready to give sugar scrubbing a try?
Here are some great recipes you can put
together in no time at all and give this a try.
Invigorating Lemon Sugar Scrub

½ cup of almond oil
5-10 drops of grapefruit essential oil

uplift your spirits as well. Before you know it you’
ll be mixing sugar scrubs on a weekly basis,
